Avalon Ruby has always been a storyteller. Whether through visual mediums or the written word, she strives to tell stories that she hasn’t seen in the world. A recent graduate with a degree in New Media (and a healthy helping of creative writing classes), she’s now working her way towards that goal with her first novel, The Oracle Network, a fantasy story of trauma, hope, and coming to terms with that which you cannot change. Avalon has also written a number of short stories and poems, mainly centering on themes of mental health, disability, LGBTQ+ representation, and at the core, the human experience.
With whatever spare time she can manage to scrounge up between working in live broadcast and writing, Avalon also loves binding books—which will eventually include her own!—creating video and print-made art, embroidering, and playing copious amounts of D&D.
